When I first saw this valance in the catalog, I was very impressed with its "cuteness", so I decided to include it with my order. However, once it arrived, I was disappointed with both its lack of quality (the material is extremely thin and flimsy), and the fact that the opening/channel for the curtain rod is unusually narrow. In fact, I was inconvenienced by having to go out to purchase a new curtain rod just for this particular valance, and then was angered when the fabric tore when I was attempting to slide the rod through the extremely narrow channel of the valance. Also, the valance was folded and stuffed into extremely small packaging and, therefore, very wrinkled upon arrival; however, it is NOT washable, so I am now going to have to use a steamer to try to remove all of the creases in the fabric. I would have to recommend that you "pass" on this one, until and/or unless Terry's Village offers a valance of better quality, and learns to package it more appropriately!
Pros: cute
Cons: flimsy, small rod pocket, unwashable

Cute snowman valance. Looks cute in my kitchen with the other snowman themed items. Con: very stiff fabric and very wrinkled -- did not wash or try to iron after reading other reviews. My curtain rod is round and I did not have the trouble that others cited about the smallness of the hole to put the rod into.
Pros: pretty
Cons: wrinkled -- does not iron well

I agree with some of the other reviews, it is way too small for a regular curtain rod, but I didn't want to send them back, so my husband just bought 2 dowel rods the size needed and cuz the length so they'd fit over my windows. I bought two of them. I also had to iron them, and am disappointed that they can't be washed - only spot dried. I have them in the windows that are on each side of our fireplace so I hope they don't get dirty.
I would recommend this to a friend!

was suprised 100% polyester after I decided to hot them to get the wrinkles out and melted a hole. Butit tucked in and they do look cute but should have big warning NO HOT IRON.

I loved how the curtains looked on line. What I was surprised at when I received them was I was unable to hang them with my standard curtain rod. You must use an extremely small rod which most people do not use. This is the first return I have ever made and I have been making purchasing for quite some time. It will not deter my future purchases, but I was disappointed!

I bought this to put on my kitchen window for Christmas instead of my regular valance. The slot where the rod goes thru was so thin and the material so flimsy that as I was trying to work the rod thru it kept catching on the material. It literally took me at least 45 minutes and I eventually had to cut the material to get it completely thru. It looks cute up now but it was way too much work!
Pros: cute valance
Cons: cheaply made, sewn poorly

Looks very festive on my two kitchen windows and goes very well with my decor. Good value for the money. The only down side is that the rod pocket is extremely narrow, not allowing my curtain rod to fit...so I had to come up with an imaginative plan to make it work...and it does. If not for this issue, would have given 5 stars.
Cons: rod pocket is very narrow.
I would recommend this to a friend!
