This tree is metal and the branches have to be adjusted and positioned as you like. Make sure you position them the way you want the first time because continuous moving will cause them to break (first hand experience!) I lost 2 branches this way. The tree is serving it's purpose in my Easter decor, but for $20, you would not expect it to break so easily.
