After reading some of the other reviews on the lettering, I was expecting to have to pull out my sharpie and darken the letters, which was fine by me. The letters on my plaque were just fine the way they were, no need to darken. You can't tell by the picture, but the bear in the outhouse looking out is way too cute. Plaque is well made and heavier than I thought it would be, but very easy and secure to hang.

This item is cute but the wording is very light and not as shown in the picture. It is about the same color as the outhouse. I simply used a sharpy pen to color in the letters and then it was fine. That was the only thing wrong with it.

I bought this for our campers bathroom wall. It's the perfect size. The only thing I found wrong with it was that you couldn't see the lettering very well. A brown sharpie did the trick. Looks great.

Like others have said it's not like the picture. You cannot read the words. They are not black like in the picture. I took a black magic marker and filled them in and it looks much better.

This plaque is adorable. Nice quality and good price. But, I agree with other reviews that the writing is a little light...but I went over it with a black magic marker and it looks great. I purchased this for my daughter who has a log cabin. One of her bathrooms has an outhouse theme and this will go perfect. I know she'll love it.

Too Cute to Resist Date: June 10, 2009
This was just too cute to resist! I immediately had to hang it in our bathroom (as one may have guessed, it's done up in a cabin theme with black bears). Fits right in. The price was very reasonable and the quality is very nice too. I would recomend this to anyone that has a cabin, log home or anyone who likes the country; it's very cute in the bath area.

Very cute plaque... goes very well with my woodsy themed bathroom. My only complaint, as others have said is that the writing on the plaque is not a dark black like in the picture, you can barely see it, looks more like it was "etched in"!

I had the same problem, the letters are barely readable they are so light not dark in the picture. I called and they resent another one, but it had the same exact problem.
