We, (the kindergarten teachers at our school), have been purchasing the leis for the kindergarten students to use for 9-10 years for the promotion exercises. The leis seem to bring a sense of unity to the 3-4 classes. We sing America the Beautiful and this also culminates the social studies state standards for National Symbols.
The parents also seem to love the simplicity of the leis. It cuts out the expense of them buying the mini caps and gowns. We, the teachers, are able to afford the expense of providing the leis for our students.
We do caution that the leis will break, but that is also a life lesson of being careful with what matters to them. The kindergarteners continue to enjoy the leis and having them to take home year after year.

We used these leis at my 4th of July Birthday Blast! Everyone loved them! They were red, white, and blue, and looked great with the other accessories!
