I purchased these train whistles for my son's daycare class as they were studying trains. They were a huge hit. They were perfect size for 2 year old hands, and quite frankly the teachers LOVED that they weren't loud. Each one worked fine and had no defects. They were quieter than expected but in reality is that really a bad thing? The children loved the shapes and colors and had a ball with their very own toy trains.
Pros: Educational, Assembly, quality, Child's Favorite, Age appropriateness
I got these for the little kids at my son's first birthday and they were so cute!!! They're a little hard to blow at first but other than that they're great.
These whistles are so cute. They are nicely made with bright colors. The noise is very soft so the kids and parents both love them.

The painted train whistles were bright and solidly constructed. The 2 to 5 year olds at the party liked them but had difficulty getting any sound through them. They did enjoy driving them around. The whistle was not a realistic train sound as more expensive models might be.
Pros: Assembly, Age appropriateness
Cons: too difficult for child to actually blow

Purchased for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. I wished each bag had been labeled "whistle" I don't know if kids around the world will know they have been given a whistle or just think it is a toy train. Great gift either way!
Pros: Educational, quality, Age appropriateness

I bought these for the goody bags of our train-themed birthday party. I don't regret buying them at all as they are very cute and brightly colored. The whistles all work but you have to blow very hard to hear anything and my 3-year-old can't work them. However, he plays with his like a hotwheel car as they are a good size. He's happy and momma's happy.
Pros: quality, Age appropriateness
Cons: whistle

I bought these for my son's 2nd birthday next month since the theme is "planes, trains and automobiles" and they are really cute! They aren't too loud, which I think is a good thing since kids will be playing with them indoors! They are brightly colored and a good size for little hands! I know the kids will love them!!
Pros: Assembly, quality, Child's Favorite, Age appropriateness, cute party favor

These little train whistles are very cute - BUT they are hard to blow into and do NOT sound like a train. Disappointing if you really want the kids to make train sounds.
